Signed Mac beta v0.1.0

Both Mac downloads are Developer ID signed and notarized by Apple. This is an early beta, with manual updates.

Installation

1. Choose your Mac’s chip, download the ZIP, and unzip it.
2. Move vionim.app to Applications and open it. Confirm the normal first-launch download prompt if macOS asks.
3. Add your AI provider’s API key in Settings. Download the transcription model when you need transcripts.

Verified builds

Apple silicon passed installed checks on macOS 26.5.2 (25F84), Apple M4. Intel ZIP and DMG passed independently on macOS 26.6.1 (25G76), Intel Core i7-8700B. Signature, publisher, notarization ticket, Gatekeeper, media import, preview, transcription, model repair, cancellation, decoded export, and project reopening passed.

The compatibility target remains macOS 15.7.9+. These packages declare macOS 15.0, but installed testing on macOS 15 has not been repeated for these exact signed builds. Earlier unsigned preview results do not establish that evidence.

Known limitations

• Live AI-provider editing and upgrade/credential preservation have not been verified for these exact signed packages.
• No automatic updater, Windows download, or Linux download in this beta.
• Keep backups and use copies of important projects. AI results depend on your provider, model, credit, and request.
• Generated-code render network isolation remains listed as requiring hardening in the release checklist.

Data handling

Original media stays on your Mac. Prompts and relevant project context, which can include transcripts and derived inspection images, are sent to your chosen AI provider. Transcription and media processing run locally.

Third-party software

The app includes Electron, Remotion, FFmpeg, whisper.cpp, Chromium, and other dependencies. Attribution is included in the app bundle. See third-party notices.
